Oluwatosin Kate Olanrewaju-Elufowoju is passionately commited to promoting environmental and social sustainability, especially in Africa. She is a Lawyer with focus on environment, social enterprise, SDGs, research and eco-philantrophy. She holds a degree in Law (LL.B), a Masters in Law (LL.M) and a Post Graduate Diploma (Pgd) in Environmental Control and Management from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria in addition to a B.L from the Nigerian Law School.

She has carried on a relatively active corporate/commercial law practice which has afforded her amble time to explore her professional interest; however, her core interest and passion is for research, teaching and consultancy. Her research interests include environmental legal methodologies, environmental law and policy, environmental management, environmental peace-building and diplomacy, climate change, ozone depletion, waste management regulation, which has formed the core of her research work and publication so far. Some of which include: Environmental Degradation and Sustainable Development in Africa: The Role of Environmental Norms, Values, Perception and Ethics”; “Legal Regime on the Protection of the Ozone Layer”; “Climate Change: Issues of Environmental Security in Nigeria”; “Intellectual Property Law and the Challenges of Protecting Indigenous/Traditional Knowledge”, “World Christianity and Environmental Sustainability: Perspectives from Nigerian Pentecostalism”;

She is a Fellow, Ife Institute of Advanced Studies, Nigeria and also a pioneering volunteer member for NISEC, the national chapter of the International Student’s Environmental Coalition (ISEC). A platform on which she offers pro bono services to create awareness and sensitization on various environmental issues to communities and organizations. She also engages the NISEC platform to foster intense social media/radio campaign and advocacy on environmental sustainability to drum up awareness and support from members of the society. She also volunteers remotely as a visiting Attorney for Environmental Law Institute (ELI), Washington DC and Home of Mother Earth Foundation (HOMEF), Nigeria.

Her future goal is to further postgraduate studies with the goal of picking up a law teaching/research or consultancy position that would enable her realize her potentials, transfer the knowledge and skills acquired as well as publish scholarly works, mentor younger scholars while being open to other opportunities that would help her contribute meaningfully to her community, the society and humanity.

With her experience in practice and research she is able to provide legal services, advisory and consultation to social enterprises in order to help them realise their objectives. Including how to incorporate sustainability strategies in the administration and corporate social responsibility; incorporating eco-friendly policies and regulations in the terms of contracts and other legal documents of businesses, organisations and institutions

She is open to volunteering, partnership and collaboration to realise goals 13, 16 & 17 of the SDGs. She is willing to work with individuals, organisations and institutions committed to philanthropic acts towards funding or helping social enterprises and circular economy in Africa. She is also open to opportunities to teach and research in the area of Environmental Management, Law and Policy.
